Why: Proceeds will support HEALTH AND WELLNESS IN HOWARD COUNTY. Local Howard county charities will receive the funds at our annual community service meeting. Examples of past recipients of these funds include: Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Maryland; Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of Central Maryland; Columbia Festival of the Arts; Domestic Violence Center; Gilchrest Hospice Care; Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center; Howard County Drug Free; James Rouse Scholarship Fund; STARR Center and YMCA of Central Maryland. We also provide a portion of the proceeds to international programs such as: The Clean Water Project; Orphanages located in the country of Colombia & FAHA - the Foundation Against HIV and Aids. Last year, we provided approximately $50,000 to the charities.
